How it works
The Fair Work Act sets a graduated table: 4 weeks of pay at 1 year of service, rising to 16 weeks at 9+ years and capped at 16 weeks. Casuals, employees of small businesses (under 15 staff), and employees with under 1 year of service are generally excluded — but enterprise agreements can override these defaults.
